thanks guys. I had 2 flashes on opposite corners of the dance floor. one pointed directly toward the center, about 4 ft high. The other about 6.5 ft. high bounced off the ceiling.

yeah, I think i may have gotten some lens flare in that one from one of the flashes.

Here's a few more. the bounced flash didn't fire on the first one, but I kinda like how it turned out:

I love the misfire! Great capture on the mother's face in the last one too. Are you shooting a bare flash on the stand or in an umbrella?

Thanks guys.

Both flashes are bare - no umbrellas or modifiers. One is bounced of the ceiling, the other is pointed directly toward the dancers. The bounced one did not go off in the misfire.

I did not use PW's. Just my ST-E2, and ETTL
20D in manual mode at f/5.6 I think at about 1/100 s. exposure if I remember correctly
