G'day

nabbed this bloke today. Did a few searches, but couldn't find an exact ID and thought some more experienced people here could possibly tell be straight away. Maybe 2cm long - taken in suburban Brisbane, Australia.

It's a type of wasp, looks a bit similar to a Potter wasp, but far too hairy to be one. Interesting find, good images.

I have found a match !! :) , and this website (assuming it is right) describes it as a Yellow Flower Wasp

looks like you have traced the correct ID. First one is a bit blurred but the other two are spot on.

Thanks racketman. I normally wouldn't post the first post due to the missed focus, however I wanted to show the two antennae for ID purposes. Shame about the focus because I think it is a better compostion

Nice shots.
2nd one looks like plane of focus was better, not just the focus on the eye.
Can't help on the ID either.
