Ever since I became a member of POTN (a long time ago) I've been lurking in this side of the forum and admired some of the most breathtaking photographs I've ever seen. Clearly, there is something very exciting about photography.

Two weeks ago I bought the 100mm macro together with my wife (she was dying to get a macro to photograph flowers and such), and I thought I would share a few of my first macro shots with this lens. Thanks for being such a source of inspiration!

All three shots were lit with two off camera 430EXs with CTB.

Thanks Alistair :) it was rainy and dark outside, so I thought it was perfect to play around with this lens inside.

These are great shots. I´m not really keen on toothbrush and forks as an
objects, but the way you excecuted the shots is absolutely great. Well done.

Thanks Vesa and Dave :)

One thing I like about macro photography is how someone can take an ordinary object, light it dramatically and show it to the viewer in a way he or she has never seen it before :)

Nice start. The blue from the CTB gel works well, especially in # 1&2.

Great start Stefan, welcome to the dark side.
I love doing the same thing, taking a pic of something we see or use everyday and spin a new perspective on it so that the viewer has to ask what is it?
Very well executed shots.

Love the toothbrush but find the bit of the handle on the right hand side a bit distracting. Mind you, I wish I had the imagination to think up stuff like that though, let alone the technical Knowhow!!!!!
