First off would like to say wonderful event to experience. Would never try photographing again without a media pass. On the other hand there were alot of pieces of work down there that I would never be apart of. These people leave the gear spead out practically everywhere (tripods, backpacks, step stools). Step Stools come on people paid good money to watch the car not your @$$. Either choke up the money for good glass or execpt the fact your short. If you cant do none of the above please fall and crack your head open or get hit by flying parts from a blown motor.

Gotta get futher down the track away from the starting line, the media mostly gathers within the first 100-150 ft of the track. Most of the time I stand at the end stands, high up and shoot from there. Hope this helps.

I take it you werent not to happy bout the media people ........ I would have been a little upset also .That is a good shot minus the guy on the step stool looks like that would be fun to shoot. I am gonna have to try that this year. But I wont be using a step stool.:)
