Ouch, way overpriced and that silver back is ugly. I'm not sure what the deal is with that back, it has no lettering on it so anybody not used to the 5D would have trouble getting used to it, as the buttons aren't labeled.

It could be a 'Dixon's special' colourscheme, in which case £400 to make your camera uglier is not a great deal, or I think the image has got screwed up in processing somewhere and it shouldn't be silver (possibly an image of the unpainted body??).

Whatever, I can't see people beating the doors down at that price.

No way, the specs are identical to the one I bought over two years ago. It also looks identical apart from the silver colouring and the clip-in eyepiece.

Of course, if it is the next 5D, I can't wait to see the comments from all the people who have been holding off buying a 5D for the last 18 months, because the new, better, 5D is 'just around the corner'. Man, would they be pi**ed.:lol:

Well Canon decided to make customized cameras with interchangable covers. You can now pick from a variety of colors, Black, purple, fusa, and egg shell (to match all those superteles!)

It all started as a hobby with a Rebel XT & KIT lens. $5K worth of equipment & $0 of income later, all I have to show for it is a harddrive full of pictures and priceless memories!! Yeah it's still worth it :)

It's just a stock Canon image. They use it to show off the magnesium body.

People see it and immediately think it's a special version when it's not.

that price is horrid!

you can pick up the body and 24-105mm for £1800 NEW! and for a bit more the 5d +17-40mmL NEW (at £1900-£2k)

look elsewhere.

I'm confused, so you're saying I won't be able to get this new 5D II in pearlized pink?
