does the uv filter change anything else besides light? what i mean is will i lose stops with it on?

HOYA uv filter
the dude at the store said it was like a skylight filter or something

If you dont think the pics are sharp with the filter on take it off and see what you get. Alot of differing opinions pertaining to the use of filters. I have on circ polarizer for wide angle but prefer not to use filters.

Nope, other than making the lens cost a lot more. May want to skip a UV filter on a lens that is about $80.

I'd just leave the filter off this lens. Not much reason to try to protect a $70 lens.

i am gonna leave it on... no reason to not protect an 80 dollar lens... its $80 i have $20 left, haha
