Hi, My MKIIn body serial number is 425192, but inside battery conpartment, there is another number OU0811, is hare anyone know about the production date? I have already send this question to Canon, but they said they are unable to check the production date.

i have a MkIIN too. i have no idea when it was made. does it matter?

Hi, I have read some report, they said the number inside the battery conpartment is the production date, I do not know which one is correct.

Your date code indicates that your camera was made in August of 2006.
