If you get a circular grad, you'll need to adjust your composition to where the filter puts the grad. If you get a rectangular one in a Cokin holder, you adjust the filter to put the graduation where it suits your composition. But Cokin's filters aren't truly neutral; they have a slight (magenta, IIRC) cast. HiTech, Lee or Singh Ray make better grads that are truly neutral (at a price). Jon
