Here are a couple of images I took yesterday. These were taken with a 300mm F4L IS and 1.4x TC. I rented the 300mm and I am impressed with it so far. I was shocked at how much the TC affected the focusing speed. I hardly notice a change on my 70-200mm F4L IS but it was significant on the 300m.

This was my first crack at shooting and processing RAW files too.

Even though I am not a fan of the House Sparrow, it is a very nice image. And great to see some flowers in the background. Nice Chickadee image as well.

Very well done and I particularly like the shot of the sparrow....be careful renting lenses. It can be very expensive :) So have you pushed the 'order' button yet!

Thanks for the comments. I rented the lens for a couple of reasons. First, I am torn between the 300mm F4L IS with my 1.4x TC and a 100-400mm L. Second, lensrentals.com is about 4 miles from my house so I picked it up and saved the shipping. It was only $45 for the week. I have pretty much decided on the 300mm F4L IS. Hopefully I will be able to push the button in a couple of months. Maybe they will have instant rebates by then!!!
