I have a Canon GL2 3 CCD camcorder and a bunch of video stuff I am thinking of selling.
With the money I am contemplating getting some great "L" glass for my 10D (thinking 17-40L, 24-70L & 70-200 F4L), but on the other hand I am also thinking of selling the 10D along with the GL2 and get a 20D with maybe only 1 "L" lens (70-200 F4).

Is the 20D worth the sacrifice of two L lens?

Help, can't decide.

Have a read of the review on dpreview.com review, and take the advice of someone who really knows what they're talking about. There's a link elsewhere in this forum to the new article. Take a look at the sample pics. From memory they concluded that unless you were pretty flush, there wasn't a compelling reason for 10D users to upgrade. New users though should go straight to the 20D.

You'll have that glass forever, but the 10D for a year or two. And it's a mighty fine lens collection! The 20D gets you very little compared to what those lenses will get you, and if you got the 20D you'd still want those lenses.

Keep the 10D, get the glass.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
