The IC is probably in the manifold as they come s/c'd from the factory. I honestly don't care for the first pic. I don't like the bright spots on the hood and roof, or the side marker effect. The shadows extending from the starbursts looks strange to me.

Looks like an air to wate rheat exchanger under the manifold.. good eye
