Looks enticing. Works on FF and APS-H and APS-C. Now how much?

Quite interesting if it's of the optical and build quality of the 30mm F/1.4 - let's hope this one has no focus issues.

Those are the key words there!

Looks very nice. If the price is competitive with the Canon, I'll give it a shot...the EX build with ring HSM? Sounds like a winner to me. If it has the performance of the 30 f/1.4, it'll be a killer.

I am VERY excited about this! My 50mm prime is perhaps my most used lens on the 5D.

If this focuses as well as, and is as good wide open as the 30 1.4, then it's bye bye Canon 50 1.4, hello Sigma 50 1.4! Real HSM instead of Micro USM, and if it's not soft wide open like the Canon, well dang.

I can't WAIT to see some reviews of this lens. I haven't been this excited over a new release in a long, long time. Hope the price is competitive.

Could be a great upgrade option from the nifty fifty. Hope the first reviews when it comes out are good.

Actually looks good to me too. It should be superior to Canon's 50 1.4 since we're talking ring HSM in the Sigma and micro USM in the Canon.

Not a length I use much but if it's around $280, I'd consider it. It'd have to be cheaper than Canon's optics to be worthwhile, IMHO. Third party is still third party. I'm glad it's not a DC. They have too many of those damned limited lenses.

Lightrules, are you gonna be rocking this lens up with some tests? :D

This vs 30 1.4 and the Canon 50 1.4 would be realllllly interesting.

Nice, I like more options. Altho, if this lens pans out, that's more options for Pentax... and I might be tempted to jump ship :P
