I did the 5D firmware upgrade from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 with no problems. However, my exif info still shows my 85 1.2L lens like it always has, and not like it should after the upgrade. (85 1.2L II). That is supposed to be one of the fixes, but I'm not seeing it.

My camera shows the newer firmware version, but neither CS or DPP show that I have the Mark II version of this lens. My 85L was mounted on the camera during the upgrade, but I doubt that would matter.

Can anyone with the 5D and 85 1.2L II confirm that this actually worked for them?

Here's my discovery:

All my 85L shots taken with the 1D Mk III are designated Mk II. The ones taken with my 5D and the 30D are not Mk II designated.

On the other hand the 16-35 Mk II has been recognized since the firmware update.

That's interesting, since it was the 5D firmware that was supposed to fix that. It's not a huge deal, but it was specifically listed as one of the lenses involved.

Thanks for your input Tony.
