The setting ......a fishing pool in the middle of nowhere, buzzard seen perched in a tree, then i saw this beauty perched on a pole, parked the car got the bins out, new one on me, window down for the first shot then out of the car camera onto the tripod, over a barbed wire fence and off i go across a cow trodden field / bog, managed to get pretty close hiding behind a couple of trees on the way, then fired off another 35 shots.

Doh!!!! I have been fooled myself by a similar thing (An Owl) on one of my local golf courses, I had the camera out and was just about to shoot when I realised what it was.

Thanks for a light-hearted moment.
