Yet another MacBook calibration issue

I have the MacBook 13inch running vista
I always feel my screen is very "cool" and glossy

Trying to calibrate it with Spyder2 at 6500k whitepoint and 2.2 Gamma gives a VERY ugly red cast to everything. Using a native white-points gives better results

However I still feel the screen is too dark?
No matter what I do i can't compare between squares 0 and 1 neither in black nor in white squares of

I see the difference between 1 and 0 clearly on both my LaCie CRT and my Powerbook.
Both calibrated with the Monaco Optix XR pro...

The Powerbook screen is darker then the CRT, but that makes no difference in the separation of the 'ramp'...
