One of my best friends is getting married in April. Since I'm in the wedding I won't be the photographer, but I do get the joy of doing her bridals and engagement pictures!!! She had her mother's wedding dress recreated! Her entire wedding is 50's themed!!! I'm so excited!

Here are just a few! I know the whites look bright, its ok..I did quick raw adjustments in LR and a little ps to get a few up!!! OH - and, the one where her elbow is clipped isn't like that in the pic, thats from the framing action!

any other kind CC welcome :)

Very nice! In #1 I find the way she is holding the flowers somehow odd and #3 looks a bit soft and over vignetted but #2 is really unusual and neat and #5 would make up for any failings in the others anyway! I wish I had one creative bone in my body ... these make me very envious ... in the nicest way!

i absolutely love them. #3 is probably my least favorite of the series tho...not sure why. 2 or 4 being favorites. they are absolutely adorable.

Nice set Grace! I really like the PP in #2 and all the exposures in all of them are spot on!

Very nice series. Since you mentioned the '50 theme, I have an off the wall idea for #5...

- Crop it Square (lose the cobbles in the foreground)
- Convert it to B&W (low-ish contrast)
- Give it a narrower border (white only...no black inner stroke)
- Print it
- Attach it to a slightly larger piece of backing board with the old fashioned photo corners
- Frame it
- Give it to the Bride as a gift

IOW, create a larger, modern version of the old square, B&W photo that lives in everyone's parents or grandparents photo albums...

Just a thought.

Very nice stuff Grace......I thought maybe you quit!

I LOVE the chair in number 5, where can I get one?

I would have loved to seen #5 shot from a ladder where you could have gotten her to look up to help enhance her feminine side.

Looks like both of you had a bunch of fun!

Beautiful. I love them! #1 is my favorite. Have that one framed for sure.

Lovely images Grace, you do beautiful work!

Ohhhhh a 50's style wedding, that should be cool. Even if you're not the photographer you will still get some shots to share here.....RIGHT?:D

Kathy these are great, and that's no surprise in your shots...but I have to say, you have a way with (either shooting or processing or both) eyes that just make your photos head and shoulders above your competition. Very nicely done.

Yes, pleeeease share some shots from that '50s wedding...I was thinking about how cool that would be the other day, to have a '30s or something themed wedding. I love that style! Hair-do's and all!
Nice shots here BTW...

edit: Grace, do you frequent TPF as well?

Very cool set Kathy! I like #2 the best, it just looks so timeless.
