Ok I know I am a little late but I just found this great site / forum recently so I thought I would share some of the pictures I took at last years Vegas Race.

We had such a great time that we are going back again in 3 weeks from today!

To be fair I was using a really slow lens when I took these shots but I am still happy with the results considering. This year I hope our seats are away from all of the staff photographers that were in almost every shot I took.

I will post some of the 2008 Pics as soon as I get back.

Sitting down track farther is better. You will need a f/2.8 lense at night. I was able to keep the ISO at 400 last year at Joliet shooting wide open with the 300 f/2.8. Keeps the noise down. These two shots have a lot of noise.

I agree that these are way too noisy... I did what I could with that I had at the time.

I know that this a very debatable thing but can you give me some Lens suggestions for this next trip. I looked through the pictures I took last year and to my surprise most of my pictures were taking in the 50 - 100mm range (We were Close to the starting line). I was thinking about picking up the Sigma 50-150 f/2.8.

Good luck with that since there's always so many up there. Best chance of doing that will be shooting them after the 60' mark or getting a really long lens and zooming in past the media photogs. Thanks for sharing you shots and hope to see more from you.
