These are just a few shots of a shoot I did yesterday. Didn't get to complete the sit because the baby got fussy so I am going back tomorrow and hopefully it won't be raining so we can get some outdoors.

cute pictures. I think the first one is overexposed a tad but great colors :) 2 and 3 are great except I wish the baby's hand wasnt over the reflection of the face. And 4 is underexposed and noisy but he has a fantastic little smirk there :)

I edited the first one and upped the contrast. It's looking brighted posted here than it does when I bring it up on my computer. Yeah thats the only thing I don't like about the baby one. I wish I could see her face. She was getting fussy and I have to go back tomorrow to finish the shoot anyway so I think I'm going to try that one again.
Thanks for your imput!

How big is your plexi? Is it mirrored or regular?

Thanks. It is a 36x36 sheet. A little under $14 at Lowes. It's just regular plexiglass on top of black material.

Very nice! the Mom should be very happy with these. Can you share your technique - set up, lens used, etc and especially lighting on the baby & plexiglass pic? it's my favorite.

No set up. All done with a hotshoe mounted Canon 430ex speedlight. The one with the plexiglass had black material behind her and under the plexiglass.
Thats the whole set up.
I used Canon 40D with 28-135mm IS Lens

They're all a bit dark for me.. apart from the first one... perhaps a levels adjustment on the B&W ones?

A bunch of Canon bits and pieces.

Dark? I see it in the b&w one but even the baby ones? I printed them out today and they look great. Not dark at all, even the b&w one. It actually looks a lot lighter on print. Maybe it's just on here not sure.
Thanks for all the comments and advice!

Oops found out why the b&w one looked so dark. It was my preedit version. I uploaded the wrong one to photobucket. Let me know how it looks now. It still looks lighter on print.

Thanks for sharing your "setup". It shows us that we don't need a full studio to get great pics. I'll have to try the plexi-glass shot. My 80 lb dog is always a good victim -- err model-- for practice.

Great use of plexiglass on #3. Not dark at all.
