Dot Line off shoe cord?

I tested a cord for a vendor that appears to be the same cord. It's well built and fired various flash units in all modes with no problems.

Its hotshoe rails are slightly thicker than those on the camera. Because of this, the 580EX II will not properly lock down on the cord end. Any other flash unit will tighten down fine.

I wanted to use this cord to do some macro with. I don't do much macro so I was trying to save a couple dollars. The flash I will be using is a 580 exII ,so I guess I'll get the canon. I don't want my flash falling off.

I've got a brand new one that I've never used that I'm looking to sell. I spent over $40 with shipping for the thing, I'll let it go for $35 and I'll cover shipping to cont US.

it's never even been on my camera.

Is it loose if I attach it to a 580EX II? or still tight enough for it to stay on without it coming off on it's own.
