Does anyone know if the Canon 70-200 mm f/2.8 IS will fit inside any of the lowepro slings? Also does anyone know about other manufactures that make sling type camera bags? Thanks

It fits easily in the 300AW and can fit in the 200AW if you reconfigure the inserts.

I know Kata has a sling bag as well. There are a couple of others too that I don't recall but have been discussed in threads here if you do a search.

it will fit the 300 :D either tamrac or kata has the identical series of sling bag, i myself found out the slingshot 300 to be too ugly, and the fastpack 250 can do much better than that.

@lotstolearn: no, the 200 can't even fit my 70-200 F4

Patrick835, I've put my 20D with 70-200 2.8 IS attached in the 200AW width-wise. But it's extremely tight, nearly uncloseable and creates alot of bulging, so I don't use it for that. Others have also posted pics of it inserted along the height but I prefer not to reconfigure the inserts to accomplish that.

Haha... completely forgot about the Tamracs, and I even have one too! :oops:

I can get a gripped 5D with either the 70-200 f/2.8 or the 100-400L in the 300 with the hood reversed. Fits best if you turn the camera 90 degrees counter clockwise so the left side of the body (viewed from the rear) faces the back of the bag.
