Hi all. Has anyone read "A short Course in Canon G3" by Dennis Curtin??

It looks like a good "get to know your camera" book that goes into more detail than the manuel. What do you think? Has anyone even heard of it?

Here is the link:

If you scroll down to the Preface- it explains it more...

Photobug,

Welcome to the forum. Please do a search on your subject before posting. This topic has been covered a few times in this forum :D :

Yes, the shortcourses books are good and worth the price you pay for them. I recommend them to all newbies. They are available for a good many cameras and are more informative than the instruction manuals that come with cameras.

Thanks,

That looks like a great book (little pricy however). I remember when I first got onto this borad a wise person said (it was either Predeep or sdommin) said that we dont need expensive equipment to take great photos, just have a very good knowledge of our camera. That makes sence to me as well as my wallet :P

But buying camera stuff is SO fun!!!!!!
