Because Bodie is such high elevation, it's closed to all vehicles except snow mobiles most of the winter. I'm just wondering if anybody knows about what month it usually reopens? Thanks

I'll be down in that area next week and it looks like I'm going to miss out again. I was in Yosemite last year and made it to Bodie 10 minutes before they closed and had to drive back. Looks like I'm SOL again Rick - Sony A7R (RIP 6D), Samyang 14, Zeiss 21/35/50, Canon 70-200L

I somehow doubt there wouldn't be option to come to Bodie with some snowmobile. And from that what I saw in summer, I'm sure winter would be really great time to be there. PhotoSI
