I have had my G3 since June 2003 and I have only taken 1 picture. Maybe soon I will take another.

Ha ha! :D

If it was a good picture, you would have the highest ratio of good-to-bad pictures here. A perfect 100!

Now if it wasn't a good picture...

Had My G3 exactly one year today, and the counter is at 937, after reseting at 9900 about a month ago, so that makes 10837 shots all up.

I put that number down to two things, first rapid fire (one of the reasons I am shying away from the 300D), the second was the birth of our first wee girl (that has a lot to do with it!)

Now look at a DSLR though to complement , not replace the G3!

I have had my G6 around 9 weeks and taken around 4000 photos. Last week i was on holiday and filled 1920MB worth of compact flash cards in 8 days.

Good stuff.

Have you had the need to repair/replace the wonky Command Dial underpinnings? They have a rather short life cycle, it seems........ :(

I've NEVER had that problem with either of the A2's I've owned. :D
My theory on that(I've seen it happen) is that somebody will inevitably try to spin the dial "BEFORE" they have pushed the button in the center. I also know someone that worked in a camera store and should have known better, do it anyway.
This is one reason that I NEVER loaned those cameras out.
I sternly warned My Daughters Husband about handling the dial when I gave them the standard A2 a couple years ago, and they haven't had any problems with theirs either.
My A2e still functions fine, and sits on a shelf next to my Elan IIe. :D

7916 photos and still counting since December 31 2001.

The camera now sleeps in Hong Kong and has been to Guam, Frankfurt, Paris, Monte Carlo of Monaco, and Nice (S. of France).

It's raring to accompany it's owner to a spetacle tommorow night after some few months of non-usage :D
