If I buy an item from Amazon and it says that the item is shipped from and sold by Beach Camera, What receipt will I get? One from Amazon or one from Beach Camera? I have never ordered from Amazon before, The problem is that there is a rebate going on and its honored for Beach but not Amazon. Thanks for the help. Mark

The reciept will be from beach (99% sure). I ordered some stuff through amazon, but it wasn't coming from them and I got a reciept from the actual vendor who shipped me the product, so I'd assume it will work this way with you as well.

I've order things through Amazon from other 'shops' and I always get a receipt from the 'other store' - Amazon just 'rent' the space to them.

Amazon make their external vendors follow their own standards for customer care/ returns etc so you can buy from their 'marketplace' with confidence.

But pay attention to shipping charges - they can make a good deal less attractive and sometimes you don't realise at first ...

I'll second the need to watch out for high P&P charges - You normally know where you stand with Amazon, but some of the 'Marketplace' vendors take the p*ss' with high charges.
Some of them will charge you just 1 penny for an item worth about £5, but then charge you £10 P&P (ala' ebay), they do this to get to the top (or bottom?) of the price listing on the page.
