Looks real good ISO800 and lower. Even at 1600 it's not too bad

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Looks pretty good. Phil (or his elves) really do find some interesting images with which to test cameras.

To me, it seem noisier than what I'm used to from my XTi from ISO 400 and up.
I guess tests later will show how it stacks up.
The resolution, especially on the third shot (IMG-0049) is amazing though.

Not sure how an image that clearly went under some noise reduction is supposed to be a good indication of high ISO noise performance...

The 1600 iso shots look pretty good. Be interesting to see the reviews when it's out.

Hmm... I went and reviewed dpreviews samples of the 400D and I think that the 450 looks at least the same and maybe a bit better at 1600. Take a look at this pic from the 400 right at the upper left corner of the pic.

And this one from the 450 in the concrete at the entrance of the shop just in the shadows. They are about the same color and intensity.

Pretty darn close.

Crazy how technology improves.
I thought all this time that a 12 mp sensor would be worse than the 10mp XTi...though if these are noise reduced...that doesn't tell us much.
A lot of people hate how the have a 12 mp in the Rebel series and only a 10 mp in the 40D. I personally don't care about mp but I'll be a bit peeved if the XSi has better noise than the 40D :)

Impressive, May be I'll get it as secondary body and glue my Sigma 10-20 to it.
