Oversaturating Color

One my challenges when post processing my photos is not to oversaturated the color. I love to have my pictures "pop" with color but sometimes I think I over do it. Is there any guidelines or advice on making your color photos "pop" while not oversaturating the overall color?

Here are some of my recent photo posting threads:

Thanks in advance.

IMO the (second link) suffers more from a bit underexposure and (mainly) too high contrast then oversaturation...

Speaking of saturated colors, I'm wondering how HDR images achieve their typical look for saturated colors, and can a similar effect be done for regular images in Photoshop, somehow?

I'm also interested in any tips for improving the colors in Photoshop post-processing, preferably for landscape images.

I do most of my processing in Lightroom and I love photos with tons of color. I do mostly landscapes and some would say they are very saturated with color. Its easy to achieve in Lightroom. Here is my link http://www.flickr.com/photos/74139423@N00/ (external link)

Wow Superdave26, great pictures on Flicker!

Have you found any certain combination of presets in LR to typically achieve your color "pop"?
