Yeh to Charles Sturt, will live on campus for atleast 1st year, can then maybe work something out there after with some people but who knows at this stage.

Ok, well then Sydneysiders thread, how many of you folk are doing/have done the Photography course at Ultimo? I'm finding out whether or not I will be accepted this Tuesday and i'd love to hear some opinions of the course :). Every photog i've ever worked with has done it, and they all recomended it, hense why I applied :).

from what I've heard it's good if you have no prior knowledge. A few shooters I know did it before they had a clue and it's served them well but none suggested I do it as I have decent prior knowledge so alot of the course may not be worthwhile

Yep.. I spent 4 years at Ultimo.. This was in the mid '80s.. Four evenings a week, a total of 10 hours per week over 4 years.. A lot of hard work but worth it.. This was the pre-digtal era but I learned heaps.. I easily transferred what I learned into digital..

The resources at Ultimo were brilliant then with huge studios, darkrooms etc.. A bonus was the college is between two pubs, The Vulcan and the Australian Youth ;)
