JT is pretty rubbish with admin side of things. In fact, they are (on a whole) pretty lax all round. I still haven't been paid for the last issue and have had no response from the accounts division after a series of emails.

Basically what you're going to want to do is send some low-resolution proofs to JT, or he just won't bother replying. Don't expect a super quick response - basically, if he likes what he sees he'll contact you sometime before the next issue goes to print and ask for fullres copies of the files. If/when he does, make it explicit from the get-go that you expect payment, because otherwise he'll walk on you.

As far as content of images goes, it's probably advisable to send some shots that have some context - a state round race, etc - photos of you just out with your mates riding are unlikely to get published because there's no story they can mate them with.

I probably sound pretty bitter where [R]evo are concerned.. At the moment I still am

yeh sweet i read that tristan had the same deal. sorry to hear that.

i pretty much ask'd straight up what they pay . im not going to let this happen.
also said that if he wants i can send a med size water mark'd file . but now i might just send another email and some pics with it .

i have pics form the ourimbah n awaba combined round and thought they might be good for the state pages? or some other page?
anyways thanks for the advice . hope you get your money soon.

cheers

House shopping? Where abouts are you looking?

Different topic: I'm having this mega-frustrating time trying to organise my upcoming 9 month trip to Europe. Hitting up London, Paris, Italy (Val Di Sol, Downhill World Champs, shooting of course, if I can organise myself), Croatia, Germany (Oktoberfest), Greece, Austria (Schladming, again for Downhill World Cup, shooting) etc etc.. and it's so damn difficult to get everything working properly!

I guess this is what I get for leaving it late...

London's over-rated. I've been here for 5 years now, and it's been 5 years too long.

Neither does mine, although I don't have a bad word to say about her. :D

I'm not planning to stay in London for more than the required time (ie, the amount of time I have to visit my relatives for...), and plan to spend more time in Belgium, Amsterdam, Prague, Paris, and all over Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania...

I made my first visit to Sydney last January and was greatly impressed.
What a ferry boat service!
Took the ferry in from Parramata at sunrise and all that jazz.
Made my photog buddy, a Nikon fella, feel like a tourist in his own town. Had a blast.
Hotter than Hades.
My big shock was the amount of security cameras.
We cant afford the war on terror here.
cheers and beers

I lived in sydney for a bit 16yrs ago. Lived by the beach at Curl Curl and worked at Manley High School.

Love to go back and have a look around again....with camera.
Still remember going for a walk in some bush in bare feet then thinking...This is not new Zealand they have posionous things here :)
The surf was very different to NZ much more punch to it, but we dont have signs saying polluted water ......well we do now.

War on terror = war on freedom. Convenient really.
