Yes i just was to use my Canon 710 IS camera. turned it on to zoom in to my coral in my fish tank.. But when i ZOOMED in it wasn't working great.. looked at it more and noticed that it was sticky substance on it..
Thought it was the batteries leaking (NO IT WASN"T Thank gosh) then i figured it out i had apple juice in my bag that (the bottle was empty) a drop might of gotten in to the zoom and CLCIKER (if that what the button is called when you take the picture)and now it moves like molasses..
Is there a way that i can clean it out.. as it still moves but Very very very veryyyyyy sloooooowly...
Not happy with this right now.. called a few places and they like min $200 to get it looked at... I'm like i can buy a new camera for the price..
Can anyone please help me out.. i feel like this right now

I also saw a posting on here to take apart the camera.. is this simple to do as i just have to CLEAN the zoom button...
Any help PLEASE
thanks in advance

but just use plain (distilled would be even better) water in a clean spray bottle. Cover the camera leaving only the clicker and zoom button exposed. Hold the camera upside down and spray water up onto those controls & let it drip off. Do that several times. When you can't taste any sugar in what drips out (eeeew!), you're done.
