I want to get a Stroboframe pro rl as a general purpose bracket and also to use it for some macro work. My question is : Can you rotate the flash bracket so the head of the flash will point down in front of the lens? I will be using my 40d with grip and 580exII flash and a canon oc-e3 cord. I'm trying to get the best of both worlds out of this bracket.

If I understand the question, the answer is yes. The flash head angle can be set to various angles. I would guess about +/- 45 degrees.

Thanks Dan! I just ordered one with a anti twist plate.
