All that lurking has been well spent. Very impressive gear.
Hope we'll see some results.

 I guess I should have explained some...

I had a film SLR (non-Canon) for a long time and finally decided to try digital and got a Sony Cybershot F717. Rapidly needed more camera and started my lurking.

Got the Canon 'cuz you guys are knowledgable and will even answer questions from people with non-Canon cameras. Of course it helped that the Canon equipment is first rate...

Now all I need is a nice sunny day off.

Tammie

Do you do a lot of product or macro shooting? Seems interesting that your first flash would be the ring light, along with the 100mm macro.

Also interested in what made you decide on the MkII over the 20D. Not trying to judge by your listed equipment.

Welcome!
Adam

I guess the equipment choices are a bit different. I love macro photography (strictly amature-have a day job). Had the chance to rent the 1D MkII and loved it, but I think I have to start lifting weights to take it on hikes  .
