Some Owl and Hawk Shots

Some shots from the Selby Game Fayre this Easter Weekend, sunny day but a cutting wind chill. The poor things were getting blown all over during their display especially the smaller Owls which only weigh around seven ounces.
I'm not too sure on the different breeds of Owl (except for the obvious "Snowy") but the Hawk is a "Harris"

Cool. I love bird shows and 'easy' access to photographing them

Would have been better if in some of the displays the birds would have been heading my way instead of away from me, the only way to get some head on shots of the birds in flight would have been to have walked right round to the other side of the arena which would have put them about 300 feet away from me. Got some good back end shots though

I wasn't expecting great things but hey! only one comment from the moderator when I first posted, I must think of a snappier title next time
