Well I got no where with my "Some Owl and Hawk Shots" in the Nature and Animals section, I've put that down to the boring title so I chose a slightly more punchy title for this posting in the hope it might draw more people in. These shots are from the same show as the Owls and Hawks shots, The Selby Game Show which was held over the Easter Weekend. Now I don't know if this is the correct section for these shots as I suppose it could be argued stunt riding isn't really a sport; after all it's not in the Olympics is it? but I don't think they really belong in the Transport section or even the Performing Arts section although he was doing a nice little dance with the quad. Any way I'm sure one of the moderators will move them if I've got it wrong. The guy did his own commentary as he rode with a radio Hook-up (you can see the radio fastened to the back of his helmet in some shots) the guy never got out of breath and his voice never jumped of jerked once, he did string it out a little between stunts but still; it was a good show.

Cool series....

What shutter speed/ISO were you using? First couple look a tad soft....

Next time, tell the audience to move so you have clean backgrounds! LOL!!! (JOKE!)

Nice....

The shutter speed was around the 400 mark and aperture was 5.0, ISO 100. The shots are a little deceptive, it wasn't quite as bright as it appears to be.

1d mkIIn with a 70-200 f2.8 IS These are all quite heavily cropped, I was about 80 feet away for most of the shots; some even more.
