Just not when I try it! I need to find a road that is not filled with potholes too! I'll try this out again when I get my 1dmkIII on Thursday.

ps: Yes, I drive a Kia, but it's PERFECT for photography.. holds everything and nice on fuel.

i think you need a filter to reduce the image a few stops.. you're getting too much excess light

Okay, is how I shot it:

f/7.1, ISO 100, 10mm

I'll also have to clean my window... it's not easy to keep a clean window in the winter time!

Also watch for the reflection of the dash on the inside of the windscreen :)

Try somewhere between f/11 & f/16 & keep everything else the same.

That was actually dirt on the window! I was a petrol station and gave it a quick cleaning, obviously not good enough!

Will do. I'll try with the mkIII and a 17mmL, rather than the 30D and the 10mm too... that might produce a better pic.

Can you turn your interior/dashboard lights off? I think that would help give you a cleaner image for next time.

If I drive with only the day-time running lights on, the clock and the dash are off.. if I have the lights on, I can dim the dash to almost nothing, but I have no control over the clock in the center. I'll test again!
