5 minutes later, they called me back, after confirm my name and address, they said "You credit has been approved and we are sending you a form for you to sign, lens is at warehouse waiting for dispatch" ... I was stunned, "OKay" ... I said.

Then I realised that I just bought a Canon 300mm 2.8 IS L!

I had a similar sittuation a few years back, EXCEPT, I was standing in the store fondeling a Bronica SQa(Medium format) camera, along with two lenses and three backs. How much? DONT ASK!
I ended up taking the whole works home that day.(had to hide my credit cards from myself for a long time after that  )

KennyG, how come you like the lens some much? How come not the 400 version?

Dude, I think that's one excellent mistake....can I count flying to NYC, walking into B&H and walking out with a 400mm L IS an accident?

Pretty Much, and that was just ONE of these incidents(Albeit one of the largest). I was on a first name basis with both the owners of, as well as all the employees at the two largest stores in Vegas. (Sahara, & Casey's)
I'm trying to get better now, HONEST!
BTW, Anyone visting these stores for Canon equipment, see Karl at Sahara, and Jerry at Casey's, as they are the Canon EOS Gurus in their respective stores.
