Eastern Meadowlark

I saw this Eastern Meadowlark on the light pole as I was leaving work. I do not know what it is about this particular light pole but it attracts birds. I have gotten a hawk of some kind, an American Kestral, and this Meadowlark, among others. I wish they would pick a prettier posing spot but I guess I take what I get. I do not ever remember seeing a Meadowlark in my life.

Anyway, the shots are not that good. The were taken with my 70-200mm F4L IS with 1.4x TC. They are 100% crops. I need some focal length!!!

Nice shots.. very colorful bird. Looks like he has picked a rather difficult perch!
