Hello, I am new to this forum. I just bought a Canon Rebel XT, which takes a Compact Falsh memory Card. I am having trouble with Uploading pictures, it seems to be taking a very long time. Does anyone know of a good Card reader of reasonable price that will read CF Cards?
Answers very much appreciated.
Thanks!

Are you loading the pictures through the camera. This usually is the slowest way. Make sure you are using a USB2.0 connection. It makes a huge difference. Just go to walmart and get a card reader. No reason to buy and expensive item that you are going to lose soon enough.

And welcome to the forum. Post some of those pictures when you get done.

caelz27, not knowing what country your in makes it hard to tell you where to buy but go to any local discount or electronic store and get a USB 2.0 card reader. They're not expensive and they're quicker and easier than downloading from the camera.

Are you shooting RAW caelz? If so it will always take awhile to download them, whilst jpegs are alot quicker.

Get a Sandisk or Lexar USB 2.0 cardreader....that should speed things up a bunch...at least if your computer isn't too terribly old...

I'd suggest the SanDisk Extreme USB 2.0 reader. It supports both CF and SDHC, so you're good to go.
