Hi guys. I got my 500 f4 late last week. My checking looks like it's attached to a toilet, with the lens, a new gitzo monopod and tripod (got the GM 5540 and the GT3540LS), and the Wimberley II :p. So, now I need something to carry the 500 in. I've been researching here and a few other forums and I like the looks of the kinesis system. I would get the 511 long lens case. I know it comes with a pouch (A257). I would be using it for photo trips, like going to the race track, the air show, zoo, etc. So, I want to add a few pouches for other lenses, but not sure what to fit on it. I would like to take my 70-200 and probably a WA, like my 17-40 or my 24-70. I'll take a second body in the 257 pouch. Also would need to take monopod or tripod. How many pouches can I add to it? In a previous post, Blonde said the harness isn't as well padded as he wished and the Tenba harness was mentioned. Anyone have experience with the Kinesis H250 or the P019? Also, the Lowprowe lenstrekker was an option, but another thread reported they are not being manufactured anymore. Can anyone provide any other good walk around options?
I was thinking for storage at home and for travel I would get one of the Think Tank Airport rollers. Thanks for the expertise!!!

ok, let me try to help you with this:

1) if you want to add pouches, you can talk to Richard at Kinesis and he will help you with what you need. with that said, i added 3 pouches to mine (for my 100-400, 24-70 and 2 more for small lenses) and really hated it. it made the entire thing unbalanced so i took them off and went back to using my vest for carrying other lenses and random stuff.

2) the harness on the Kinesis is not as well padded as the Lowepro but it is still very good even for very long period of times. make sure that you also get the waist belt...
