Does anyone have the 50mm 1.4 USM lens?
I was at my local shop and this struck my interest.
I also have the 85mm 1.8

Nobody around here. ;)

Yes, I own it and love it. It's my main lens for portraits on my Canon 30d. It does, however, have its issues at very wide apertures.

I do not have the lens but the one thing that bugs me about it is that it doesn't have the superior Ring-Type USM like your 85 f/1.8. Otherwise, I've heard its a fine lens.

This is true, and it is a shame. I like mine, but I wish it had the better AF system and was built more like the 85 f/1.8 and the 28 f/1.8.
