I recently got the 5x7 version, along with the train. I haven't started shooting with it yet but love the portrait lighting you have here. I'll be using a Dlite-4 inside the Hilite and a Dlite-4 in a Photoflex octobox as the main light in a setup that looks a lot like yours. What settings did you use in your Dlite configuration for background versus main light? I could play around with it, but I'd love to have a good starting point! Thanks.

I used 4 on the dlite inside the hilite and 5 on the main one, this was using a large softbox that comes with the dlite kit. Very happy with the Hilite and the effect is excellent and all my clients love the shots from it. I used Guy Gowans line and wrinke removal method on the portrait also.

So you were able to light the whole shebang with 1 430EX?

Yeah for that job in particular it was no problem, flashes worked on Canon wireless system with the 430ex on a tripod. I have another 580exII so in theory I could have put that on the far side but I didnt in that case.

Can you share the photo, or a similar one? Just hope to know what the effect looks like with a single speedlight before I pull the trigger.....

Just to clarify the shot in this thread of the guy on page one is shot using a 430ex to light the hilite and one 580exII on camera with a Stofen on it. Looking at your gear list you have both flashguns to do the same effect.

I ordered mine from Warehouse Express in the UK, it was about €100 cheaper than Ireland.

US, from Amazon.com. They had one left at that price, but I would keep checking back often. I was really happy to get it so cheap, free shipping too!

Here is the setup, one 580ex in the hilite and another on camera. I left the 430ex on the tripod to brighten things up.
