weird...i was able to view it earlier on my cell phone...but now I can't see it while on full-sized computer.

EDIT: I should've pretended to be psychic....and guess that it "would be" a picture of 3 kids (2 girls and one boy I believe).

No I don't own one. I thought about getting one but it's not really suited for me and what I do. The 6' x 7' is not large enough for shooting wide set and the 7' height is a bit short. The larger one is extremely expensive and just doesn't make sense for me. I don't need one for location shooting and have no trouble shooting on pure white in my studio. I've got great control and even light across 9 ft. x 8 ft.

I just read all 24 pages of this. Not sure how I missed it :) The info on gels is useful as I tried and failed using them! Now I see why!

I have the 6x7 and the black bottletop and they are very useful.

It's really easy and enjoyable using this background.

Cheers

Hey Matt, nice pic.

A suggestion that I did.

I setup my background stands and support poll along side/over of the HiLite.

You can than hang the light from there with a Bogen Superclamp.

Not sure how the heavier weight of the Monolight will fare versus my Speedlite's.

Anyway, just thought I'd share... :)

Finally got a chance to put this puppy to some use. Quick and dirty pic for the grandparents. Had lots of trouble with the lighting wrapping around the kids, which I solved by loading my ab800 on a boom and placing in the top of the hilite. Thoughts welcome.

No bother. i've loads more but as I'm fairly new to studio work, I'm not happy with them all :) I need to work more on light placement.

I have 3 x Elinchrom 400BX flash untis with various modifiers.I'd like a nice large octabox or large softbox. my current one just seems too small.

I generally use one in the hilite and another as a main. i've not used fill too often but have thought about trying to light the floor to get my train lighter. Having that train seemed like a good idea but having to PP the grey floor out of many shots can be a pan.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I was just curious. Not that it's something I would purchase in the near future, as I'd prefer better lights, but, as a background, it seems to work pretty well, when needed in a pinch.

Works very well full stop. :) i can't think of anything easier to use. It does have limitations only in terms of size.

I hear ya EOS_JD. I shoot models mostly on location, as I don't have a dedicated studio (I Wish), and trying to decide between white/gray/black seemless versus this, seems like a logical choice...but, first I need better lights. Yeah, 2 580's inside the thing would work, but, then I wouldn't have much more to light the models up front, except a 430...and that's not gonna cut it. :( So, first order up, some lights!
