Had no idea they could make a bad PB&J until I had an uncrustable. If you can't slap your own PB&J between 2 pieces of good bread your in trouble.

No doubt. If you dont have the time to make one, wow.... that's sad.

You suck! It's pizza or PBnJ here for lunch. Barely unthawed, stale PBnJ.

Hopefully we don't have to bale on the idea, or I will be stuck without lunch. :(

Jeff Allred wrote in post #5426890 (external link)
Hmmmmm lunch... Still a bit early to think about that. It's only 9:35 here.

Yeah, I haven't even had breakfast yet... That reminds me, I am hungry, time to find something to eat.

I have never tried uncrustables, and I don't really ever want to.

It's called depth of field, and it's operating as it should. You want to be able to do a slipshod job of focusing, stop down to f/8 or so.

That's what you think. I have the 58mm ring adapter that allows you to screw another lens mounted backwards to the 50 for macro shots.

Most of the time, its the photographer who doesnt know their gear and tries to focus and recompose at f/1.2-2.0 and **** about blurry shots.

Now that is something I had not considered. I will have to remember that when... if... i ever get a fast lens!

UHUH! and what exactly did you expect? a huge DOF?

Jeff Allred wrote in post #5426952 (external link)

Yup! and it gets worse the closer you focus!

Brooke! you NEED to get some lunch! it would not be good for you to pass out from lack of food while you try to work!

and I am with you, I hadn't heard of these "crust-ables" whatever, but I know that from the sounds of them I don't want anything to do with them!

To get your subject in focus, and f/8 is commonly known as a "sweet spot". Once you stop down around f/16-22 you risk sharpness and clarity.

Uhhhhh... because of DOF?? maybe  DOF is directly related to the aperture and the distance to subject... and something else I think. ... sensor size!
