Good morning. I'm so tired. Aidan woke up at 7:30. I'm definitely taking a nap when my girls show up at 10. I just can't sleep well anymore. Too much kicking.

Sorry Corey is so restless when he sleeps. I'm sure he isn't aware that he's kicking, but you might still want to bring it up with him.

Story (of sorts):
Yesterday I had a pre-retirement seminar from work all day which kept me from the internet (POTN), but it turned out to be a blessing because I got to go home several hours early! I decided not to tell my wife that I would be home early and succeeded . so as I am driving home I see that there is another storm approaching. we've had these summer thunderstorms regularly for a while now. Well after I got home we had about 30 -45 minutes before the storm hit. ... then it REALLY hit! the3 power blinked a couple times, and the rain was fighting hard against gravity, and looked like it was winning some times. there was a whole lot of lightning/thunder right on top of us, oh yeah and the wind was crazy! after maybe 10 minutes of this we hear several loud pop's and hear some trees crashing, I was totally loving the storm (I really like them) meanwhile my wife was not so happy, and getting quite jumpy with the lightning/thunder. then the all the power went out, and we were there in the weird glow from the storm. the storm did pass by after a good 30-45 minutes of lashing us and I went outside to view the damage... well... there was only 4 trees that fell. one of which broke about 40 ft up where it split into three. well. now all three are across my driveway, and two of the others as well! I will not get to use the driveway until we get a chainsaw out there! oh yeah and a couple small branches landed on our roof, but I can't see any damage.
After my initial assessment I decided that I would be able to drive across the lawn and up the hill then get back on the driveway, unless of course we got too much more rain and totally soaked the ground. This morning when I took the trash out I checked the ground and it was ok. so I drove around the trees. I woke up this morning at 0200 and the power was back on. but I don't know when it came back. it may bave been quite a bit before that but I know it went out at about 1715 and was still off at 2045.
That pretty much sums up my excitement from yesterday. I am sooo glad that I was not on my way home from work during the storm! which I would have been if I hadn't had training and got out early.

Nothing beats a storm like chain saw action. Don't cut anything off that's not suppose to be removed. Glad you could do some off roading with the LeSabre.

LOL. He is pretty restless and the snoring is annoying but it wasn't his fault last night.

Z, good story. I'm glad there was no damage and you got to play with power tools.

Time to go attempt a nap. YAY!

It didn't work. There was a big loud group of kids across the street that were screaming for 20 minutes straight. And, my girl had to leave early. Oh, well. At least I got to rest for an hour or so.

I figured as much. Oh well everyday goes by is one step closer to the finish line.

It was worth a shot. Yeah, every day is one day closer. It's all good. I feel much better now after lunch and a shower. Aidan joined me as usual and he's all clean too and even got his nails clipped. Nap time is coming up shortly as he woke up early. I don't want to put him down too late as Corey is gone all this evening playing ball. The jerk has no plans at all to take next week off (it's my b-day) because they have a chance to win the league and it's just my b-day. :rolleyed:

I have tomorrow off, yay! It is pioneer day, so there will be fun and fireworks. I am not sure what we are doing yet, but I hope that we come up with something fun.

Yo guys, O.O i just went up the path to my house in pitch black light, dear god it was scary as hell, i heard a dog barking in the distance which made things worse :X, but the stars...it was the first time i saw stars!!!! they where amazing.

havent eaten a bite since 6 am (iam not fasting!) due to me travelling to zurich for 4 hours =/, seeing the falls, going back, arriving late, eating a tiny snack, finding all restaurants full of drunks, left to my house, nothing in the fridge T-T...
