At around 12:45 A.M. Saturday morning the world went quiet in the blink of an eye, not for one person but for three. Now, at 1:22 my ears are still ringing from when the Black Cat firecracker exploded in my hand a heartbeat after I touched a flame to the fuse. John, sitting in the passenger seat, and Chris, seated behind him, as well as myself were caught utterly by surpise. According to John, my head became engulfed in a plume of smoke as the explosive I was holding it between my index finger and thumb went off. All I remember is a single spark followed by a flash, instintaneous silense and smoke. Luckily for me both fingers are still intact with no damage what-so-ever, and luckily for all of us I had parked the car so nobody sustained any injuries aside from ringing eardrums. As anybody can probably guess, I handed Chris the rest of the firecrackers he had given me at the beginning of the night, but at least for now I have earned the new nickname, "Black Cat".

Honestly, true story.

Anyways, my Dad and I just got back from a ride to the bank. In about 15-20 minutes he's going to drive me to work (because he needs the car to go get his computer). It's a nice freaking day out but I am once agian going to be stuck inside all damn day long until 9:30 tonight

I was holding it next to the window so after I lit it I could chuck it OUT but unfortunately I never got the chance  (*damn short fuse*) By the remains that were left in the car there had to have been some kind of defect because there was a sh1tload of wrapper.

Never seen it, but I am pretty sure at that exact moment I was thinking "OH F***********CK!" I's just happy it wasn't the M2000 I had at home

Well, I gotta go to work.

Have a great day Kitten. And be careful. Why were you throwing firecrackers out of a moving car anyway? Seems like karma took hold eh? Glad you're safe. Bet ya wont do that again LOL. I could only imagine.

Wow kitten, I am very glad that you still have your hand, that was a very dumb thing to do. It would have be very hard to continue shooting with only one hand, and all just because you felt like messing around

Glad you are ok though. :)

ive had black cat firecrackers blow up in my hand before. They just sting. The worst thats happened from them was a few burns. However, if you had that m2000 blow up in your hand you would be handless. Be more careful with that.
Those are pretty damn powerful.

BTW, i have a strange feeling that black cat is not gonna stick as your new nickname here. Kitten is gonna be around for a long, long time. Sorry :D.

kitten, since I don't see any pictures to corroborate your story... I will say, lighting black cats in a car(whether or not you did it) is indeed a stupid thing to do. and furthermore... you should ask bandit how much fun it is to shoot one handed!

oh yeah, and kitten, quit trying to impress girls with your teenage pranks.

Thanks, but it wasn't a good day. We weren't, we set a few off someplace then drove someplace else. I parked (as in, we were sitting still) and then tried to light it to toss it out the window

I wanted to hear it go bang (but ironically went deaf before that happened). It was in my left hand so I wouldn't really have any problems except telling the folks

Yeah, but the shock factor was incredible. I've only set off an M2000 once and it made quite a bang.

Maybe not but for today it seems appropriate given what happened at work.

I tried to light it to THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW. It probably would have still blown up in my hand even if I had been standing in a tree.

There weren't any girls, it was just the dudes hanging out having fun.

Well, I honestly don't want to go to work tomorrow. Today was a long @ss day and it sucked. Although we had the pool door propped open all day we were still stuck watching parties until 9. For some damn reason the boss's wife brought their two HUSKIES in with her. At the end of the last party we started cleaning up and were going back and forth into the party room (which leads to the store). After everybody was gone and I was out sweeping trash up in the parking lot both dogs came bolting out the door and down the hill away from the building. The damn boss came out right after them cussing all the way. After I asked if I could help catch them he told me that they were already gone and there was no way we could catch them. So I finish cleaning and doing whatever sh1t needed to get done, my Dad picked me up and we headed to the grocery store to get some things. While there I got a call from the other guard that was there (the head lifeguard) and he told me that the boss had called him and told him not to come to work tomorrow, apparently because the boss blamed us for letting the dogs loose. He also told me that they had exchanged some pretty uggly things and now he wasn't sure if he still had a job or not. This call came right after the boss's wife called me. I couldn't tell what she said at the begining but I told her I was supposed to work from 12-8 tomorrow and she just said, "Ok, see you tomorrow." Given what the other guard told me, I have no idea what is going to happen tomorrow. If they try to blame anything on me I will probably end up lossing my job by telling them the truth, that they shouldn't have had the f*cking dogs there to begin with especially since they wouldn't come when their owner called them. On top of that, if they do want me to work, I am looking at the possibility of guarding 2 d@mn parties by myself if they don't want the head guard coming in and I can't get anybody else to cover for him. I am NOT prepared to do that and might just walk out if they tell me to guard them on my own. So either way tomorrow is going to be a living h3ll no matter what happens. I almost wish that damn firecracker HAD taken a finger or two off because that would mean I wouldn't have been a part of this sh1tf*ck mess

Woah...Guess the dogs hate their owners.

Why work with a job that makes you hate life itself :-|

Anyways good luck with sorting this out
