Woah...Guess the dogs hate their owners.

Why work with a job that makes you hate life itself :-|

Anyways good luck with sorting this out

They probably have good reason to.

Because when I started it was great. It sucked being stuck inside on nice days but I guess it was bareable and I am being paid $8/hour (probably a piss poor amount to most but at least it's a damn dive shop).

Thanks, hopefully they won't be angry in the morning and will be thinking rationally but if they give me any sh1t I'm gonna have to walk. I've put up with enough of it from my old damn bosses but if they are going to get b1tchy about a couple of damn dogs then I have no choice

Don't sweat it Kitten. You (or your buddy) can't lose your job over something like that.

I've know several dog owners like that - they have no control over their dogs. Their dogs pay absolutely no attention to them because the dog owner really doesn't care. Sound to me like you boss has them just for show.

I probably will, but unfortunately my folks need the car today so they are going to drop me off. If I up and quit I'm either going to have to sit there and wait or start walking (and I don't really want to walk anywhere around there).

Like what?

Who gives a crap if they were expensive?! If they were then the boss should have had the common sence to spend just a little more to get them trained.

No, but for mouthing off he could (and I know that he DID mouth off because he's tired of taking sh1t from the world).

Probably but it's not my problem unless they try to make it my problem

Hello thread people. I hope everyone's weekend was ok. Mine was less than stunning. Aidan ended up with a wicked cough Friday night so we've been battling that all weekend with me getting the short end of the sleep stick. Oh, well. He was coughing so bad when we were at China buffet yesterday that he trew up all over his plate. His second plate ended up on the floor so he got switched to pudding and ice cream. :) My purse party was ok last night except that I only knew 2 people so it wasn't too party-like. I felt totally guilted into buying something so I blew $100 on a knock-off designer purse (it was the only thing I liked and I honestly thought there would be purses there less than $50 or I wouldn't have gone.) I feel terribly guilty because another $50 would have had me the grip for my camera. My friends there were trying to make me feel better by telling me that it would be a nice place to carry my camera. Little did they realize that my camera of choice is not a P&S. Corey told me not to feel guilty about it since I rarely spend money on that stuff. So, I guess I learned my lesson and will avoid parties like that in the future. :) Now, if I could only get the nightmare encounter with the parents last week I'd be all set.

Sounds like a rough weekend Tiff. What problems did the parents have?

Today was ok. The guard that was working the first party with me was able to stay for the other two. The boss wasn't as angry as I thought he would be but said that the head guard probably doesn't have a job anymore because he called the boss an @sshole (I can't really blame him but I do think it was a bit much). So when the other guard came right in and asked me about the head guard (because his girlfriend knows the head guard's gf). I told him what I knew and tried to go about work like always except with the realization that for the time being I am the new #1 (not exactly a responsibility that I want). Work went well, there weren't more than 15 kids in any of the parties so Chris (the guard that worked today) and I were able to sit together at one end of the pool and chat. The only problem we had was when it was time to cover the pool, because the piece of sh1t that we use consists of 2 pieces that each cover only half the pool. Whoever the hell uncovered the pool this morning should be smacked with a 10 pound lead weight for wrapping it up the way it was. Basically we managed to sink one half along with about 6 of the weights that are meant to hold it in place. Normally it should have taken 2 people about 7 minutes to cover but instead it took 3 people (Chris, my Dad and myself) nearly 15 minutes to cover it. After that there were only a few things to do before we headed out of there. Unfortunately I have to work on Tuesday and next weeked we have the regular line-up of 6-8 Fri, 12-8 Sat and Sun. Hopefully I'll be able to take Friday off but I don't know because Chris doesn't want to work so he called one of the other guards leaving only one other extra (an extra that said she doesn't really feel like being out that late even though she told me she didn't get home until 1:45 yesterday morning). So that is how my day was. I really hope the head guard and the boss can get back on good terms because I really don't want to take on the responsibility of dealing with people and because I have worked every party for the past month or so. Heck, since I started working again the only time I DIDN'T work a party is when I had to go to my grandmother's funeral so I want some damn time off (especially since I need to get ready for the 150 mile ride in June). Anyways, at least the boss let Chris and me walk down the street to get something for lunch. He actually said that if he had known I had been dropped off this morning he would have given me the keys to his truck so we could drive down, but I'm kind of glad that he didn't know until we got back

Apparently I get ignored as well. ;)

Sorry you're working so much but it means you are closer to a 5D. :)

If you are here long enough it can happen to anybody. You should have smacked that last parent, she was dead wrong. You should have thrown it in her face and asked how she would feel if you started yelling at her for talking about HER daughter.

I don't really think I want to get a 5D anymore (at least not for a few years). If I do upgrade anytime soon I'll probably just move up to a 40D. So for right now I'm not sure what the money is getting me closer to

Well, I don't really know what her deal was. She bítched to the principal about something that happened LAST year with her son and wasn't worried about her daughter's grade when I sent home a D/F slip 4+ weeks ago. Plus, the principal has told me that she's frequently referred to her daughter as a "f-ing little bítch" while talking to him about her. So, I need to just shake it off and move on but it still gets me.

Save the $$ for a new computer and a PS upgrade. :)

Wow, sounds to me like she shouldn't even be a parent.

Yeah, or at least computer repairs. I still don't know why my disk drive started chewing up the cd's. Eh, I might just get a portable external back-up drive before anything ELSE happens. I'm fine with the PS version I have

In my job you find that there are quite a few out there who shouldn't be parents. Makes you see your mom in a whole new light, huh?

I mean, be thankful that your mom doesn't refer to you in the same way as that parent.

But, I bet the only person she would say that to would be your dad.

And, it's now time for bed. Goodnight. :)
