with the tax on top of that...it's like 20% more expensive than buydig...

but true if you need it like right away, it's the best you can do.

just a quick fyi... the last 430 I picked up, I got it from circuit city and had them price match B&H, they were able to look it up online from their register (so I didnt need to bring in a flyer.

The nice thing is their competitor price match is 1:1 plus an additional 10% so when all was said and done, it actually came to a few dollars cheaper then B&H after tax!

I want to make it clear however, that the policy is not as lenient at every store... my success above was at the CC in White Plains, NY while the Yonkers store, a few miles away (closer to NYC) insisted that B&H was a warehouse and not a local competitor, so they would not honor it.

Bestbuy would not match B&H from any location I tried, but they will match CC (+ 10% as well but i think thats only if you buy it first then have them match it within 30 days.

Hope it helps!

-John

That additional amount of 10% is sometimes really not much at all. Some places make it 10% "of the difference" between the two prices. It can suck to read the fine print sometimes.

I am one of those impatient ones. I realized last night how badly i needed a good flash so I went hunting today and picked this up. Spent a few more bucks than online, but hey at least i will have it this weekend!

I had a horrible experience price matching at CC, they wouldnt even price match the newly lowered CC online price, 2 days after the bought a laptop!

They said because it had an optional printer package that got a rebate if I chose to do so:rolleyes: so basically, if there was an option that included a rebate it would negate the price match guarantee even though the rebate was on the printer rather than the laptop....funny thing was all of the laptops had optional printer packages that included rebates:evil:

I fought tooth and nail with them and finally got it, but never again will i even bother with CC.

if you buy a $1000 lens 10% is a lot

not when the price is 1000 and 1100
If you read the ad it says they will match the price for 110% of the Difference.
So you would get 110 back on the deal above, and Thats if you can get it for 100$ less

I appreciate the post. I usually care about low price, but Best Buy does have a wicked return policy and like you said, you get it NOW.
