Well Folks,

Apparently there are several major cities around the globe that are going to turn their lights off in the name of Global Warming.

This is supposed to happen at 0900 GMT on March 29th. Which from my rough calculations is about 9.5 hours from now.

So, anyone in Australia want to take a photo of the Sydney Bridge or the Opera House in the dark? Complete dark?

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I'll be heading over to Treasure Island to see what I can see (or not as the case may be). Anyone up for joining me? :D

Here's the link for the story.

ROFLMAO.

That's good. Nice shot too. Lot's of detail.

Now I'm bummed. It's raining here now. Let's see what it looks like later.

Here's a shot from last October when they did a supposed lights out event.
This was from Treasure Island. I know it's kind of small, but what you CAN'T see is some of the landmarks lit up such as Sutro Tower, and Coit Tower. The Transamerica building is also not as bright as it usually is.
The GG Bridge is kind of dark as well, but I'm sure they couldn't turn out ALL of the lights for the sake of safety.
