Can anyone give me some tips on the best aa rechargeables to buy? I need a good charger too. I hear there are some smart chargers available but I've never used this stuff.

wow, going to run by there today...thanks for the heads up.

Btw, if they are listed at 23.99...just have them look it up on the web. They will certainly match their web site prices..Ive done this more then a few times.

Maha chargers are superb. Eneloops and Imedion low discharge NiMH batteries are great, as are Powerex normal NiMH batteries

question--

Do you have to buy the eneloop charger? I have a large energizer charger i use since it can charge all my batteries (AA, AAA, 9v, everything)

I will post back at work from my phone, going to run into CC on the way, should be around 3pm.

Thank you for the i9nfo on batteries. I was confused as to what I really needed. I guess anything over 2000 is ok?

BTW...I'm currently trying to get a moderator to help me change my user name. I gave my email address by mistake so if you're wondering why I would do that...

Go for the Eneloops. they are low discharge NiMH that will hold their charge at more than 80% for a year. You can get them at thomas distributing.

I have always wondered who actually keeps the batteries in a flash and doesn't use it for 6 months to a year? That is the main strong point of the Eneloops. I can see where they are good for remote controls and other things that you don't need to recharge regularly anyways, but I use my flash a heck of a lot more than two recharges a year. If I didn't, I sure as heck would be taking the batteries out of the thing.

I just don't see the point in paying twice as much for rechargeable batteries because they can sit for a year and still be good.:rolleyes:
