Hi guys,
I am thinking very seriously about getting a 70-200mm L is and an extender to go with it.
Should i go for the 1.4x or 2x?? Is the only difference the amount of stops i will loose?
Many thanks

The Extenders are handy for a quick fix but they are no subsitute. Glenn

If I go out with the 70-200 I always carry the 1.4x with me as there is little compromise on quality and it gives you a bunch more options.

But from what I hear the 1.4 is a much better piece over the 2.0 in image quality. Below is a sample of the 1.4x on my 300 4L. www.firemaplephotography.com
