Hello,
I Have the Digital Rebel XT and I used to use it tethered to my PC. I just got a new macbook and have the canon software on here. I cannot shoot tethered to my laptop but still to the PC? I'm not sure what to do, I've just updated the software directly from canon to 2.2 I think... Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

-Kyle

I have a powerbook g4 and all works the same as when I am on a pc, what do you mean by tethered?

(BTW did you get snow yet, we have about 4-6 inches here in Spanish Fork)

would it make a difference hooking it up and then doing a software update?

I don't think so, I had to install all of the software on the disk(that came with the camera) to get the eos utility program installed, and the camera window program.
I was not able to find just the utility by itself, but I am new to mac so that may have been the issue for me.
do you have those two programs installed?

yes but I'll try and reinstall them. I think the disk i have is actually for a 20D but I didn't think it mattered. No no snow here yet either... looks like it's about it though.

I don't think that it will matter either, maybe someone that knows more about this will chime in, and it is still snowing here, nothing sticking to the roads, but over 4" on the grass.

It's starting to rain now. I reinstalled everything and now it's working comes up in image browser and all but I cannot take the photo with out releasing the shutter on the computer. MY camera just keeps flashing busy, but lets the comp. shoot.... any ideas on that?
